The Department of Political Science of University of Naples Federico II has successfully established a Double Degree Program in collaboration with the Department of Statistics of AUEB (Grece).

This bilateral agreement allows all participating students to earn two postgraduate M.Sc. Degrees at the end of their study period: one in Statistics, from AUEB and another in Statistical Science for Decisions, from the University of Naples.

All students enrolled in the M.Sc. in Statistics program at UNINA are eligible to apply for the Double Degree. Interested students are encouraged to apply at the beginning of the course. However, please note that availability is limited to 3 positions per year. Interested students are encouraged to apply at the beginning of the course.

The annual selection of candidates takes place before the start of the academic year at AUEB and UNINA.

For UNINA students enrolled in the M.Sc. in Statistics program, no additional fees will be required at the University of Naples.

Funding for this program may be available through the ERASMUS+ program.

Selection process

The Evaluation Committee of each institution will select the students who will participate in the double degree programme after an interview to verify that the candidates’ basic knowledge meets the requirements of the Master of Science in Statistical Science for Decisions and the Master of Science in Statistics, as well as a strong motivation to participate in the programme. Candidates from AUEB and UNINA will be interviewed by the Evaluation Committee from February onwards.

Mobility to AUEB

The students of the Master of Science in Statistical Science for Decisions will first complete the first year and the first semester of the second year at UNINA, and then, during the second semester of the second year, they will move to AUEB within (or outside) the ERASMUS framework and in parallel they will work on their thesis.

Language level

The language level for this programme is equivalent to level B2 of English as described in the Council of Europe’s European Language Portfolio; it must be evidenced by an international certificate (TOEFL, FCE, BEC, IELTS and similar).
